What makes this different

Built around the voice

Most sound healing centers on bowls. Mine is led by the voice. As a classically trained singer, I weave live vocals, softened into something spacious and ethereal, through the layered tones of the instruments around me.

It's felt as much as it's heard.

Sound and the body

The Science of Sound

I'm fascinated by how sound, vibration, voice and breath affect the nervous system. Here is some of what we know.

  • The research is growing

In a 2016 study, just one singing bowl meditation left people feeling significantly less tension, anger, fatigue and low mood, and first-timers felt the biggest shift of all.

  • Breath follows sound

As slow, sustained tones fill the room, breathing naturally slows and deepens. Long, unhurried breaths are one of the most direct ways to shift the body out of stress mode and into deep rest.

  • The voice is the oldest instrument

Across cultures and centuries, people have hummed, chanted and sung together to ease the mind and feel connected. Today we understand part of why: the vagus nerve, the main nerve of the body's rest response, runs through the throat and connects to the vocal cords. Humming and vocal toning gently engage it while lengthening the exhale, helping the nervous system settle.

Ask about adding a guided vocal toning practice to your session.

  • The felt experience

Some of it is beyond words. People often tell me they wish they could stay in the room forever.

About

I've been singing for as long as I can remember.

I was the kind of child who was always singing, and I'm grateful to my parents for encouraging that love from the start. I grew up to become a classically trained singer, and while music stayed at the heart of my life, my path first led me into the study of the body and mind.

I became a 200-hour certified yoga teacher, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, and spent five years as a myofascial release practitioner, exploring many body-based and mindfulness practices along the way. Through it all, I came to understand how closely the body and mind are connected, and how much we carry within us.

In a season of deep change, I was drawn to the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, where I found myself in sound ceremony. Surrounded by song and a wealth of instruments, I felt something in me begin to heal. Music became a source of comfort, and my voice became a way back to myself.

From there, everything started to unfold.

Sound healing has transformed my life, and I've since watched it do the same for so many others. Creating spaces where people can experience that for themselves is my life's work and my greatest joy.

With love, Marley

Kali ManzanaresLife Enrichment Director, MorningStar of Boulder

I’ve experienced Marley’s sound healing a few times now, and each session has been more powerful than the last. She creates a space of deep stillness, where her beautiful voice and instruments move through you, bringing relaxation, release and peace. I’m so grateful to have found such an incredible musician, healer and human, and I’m already looking forward to the next journey!

Eric LevinPrivate session client

I came to the event carrying a lot of stress and left feeling lighter than I have in months. Marley’s voice is something you feel in your whole body. I slept better that night than I had in weeks, and I ended up booking a private one on one session with her.
